At Gold Coast Dental Center, dentistry doesn't stop at our front door. From free care days for veterans to mission trips overseas, our team looks for every chance to put our skills to work for people who need it most. Here's a look at where we've been — and who we've been able to help.
Our Annual Day of Service for Veterans
Every year, our team sets aside a full day to provide free dental care to local veterans — no appointment fees, no insurance requirements, just care for the people who served.
This event holds special meaning for our practice. It's held each year in honor of Dr. Claire Elizabeth, a dear friend and dental school classmate we lost, whose own commitment to service inspired Dr. Jerry Karedan and the team to make this an annual tradition. What started as a way to honor his memory has become one of the most meaningful days on our calendar.
Volunteering with RAM (Remote Area Medical)
Our team regularly volunteers at Remote Area Medical (RAM) events, bringing free dental care to patients who might otherwise go without.
At our most recent RAM event in Miami Gardens, our team was on-site from 6 AM to 6 PM, treating patients who traveled from all across Florida for the chance to see a dentist at no cost.
Mission Trip to Cebu, Philippines
Our commitment to care doesn't stop at state lines. Our team traveled to Cebu, Philippines, to provide free dental care to children in areas of high need — treating kids who otherwise have little to no access to a dentist.
Everyday Giving
Not every act of giving needs a spotlight. Some of our favorite moments are the small ones:
- Supporting our local veterinary clinic — our team regularly drops off treats for the staff at VCA Animal Hospital nearby, because giving back extends to the whole community, four-legged friends included.
- Committed to staying current — Dr. Karedan invests in ongoing continuing education, including advanced implant training through Advanced Implant Education (AIE), so every patient benefits from the most up-to-date techniques and standards of care.
